JOINING A CROWD

A crowd of people was running down Stokes Croft.
As they passed I said to one of them, ‘what’s going on?’
‘The police just arrested a man with a gun but he got away and now he’s on the run,’ he said.
‘Which way did he go?’ I said and he said, ‘does it look like we're giving chase?’
I supposed it didn't and joined the crowd.
