Geoffrey Edward West Household (November 30, 1900 — October 4, 1988) was a prolific British novelist who specialized in thrillers. He is best known for his 1939 novel Rogue Male.

It is estimated that by the time he died, he had heard the "household name" joke approximately 13,567,492 times.

He married twice, secondly in 1942 to Ilona Zsoldos-Gutman, who wasn't a household name.
