LAUNDRY BAG

‘It’s raining hard out there,’ he said. ‘Tipping it down.’
‘Still?’ I said.
He wore a black vest and carried an Ikea blue bag.
‘Laundry?’ I said pointing at the bag.
‘Laundry bag,’ he said holding the bag up.

In the lift I said, ‘been raining most of the day.’
‘Yeh, the weather’s all over the place.’
‘Especially here.’
‘We needed some rain though,’ he said.
‘We’ve got some.’
‘I got wet getting out the car,’ he said.
‘I got wet twice today walking in the rain.’
